The 70's cricketers amass before the games, umpires prepare the stumps and the
coin toss is performed. The teams line up for the team photo and then
battle is joined. The Johnson XI won the toss and elected to field (as
there were only 4 contestants available). The Jerome XI made 95 all out,
including a majestic 21 by Matt (retired hurt), with Tom from The Johnson X!
wracking up an impressive 3 for 12. The Johnson team stepped up to bat, an
opening 25 (retired) by James set the scene for a nail biter, a captain's
innings of 25 (retired) from Johnson indicated the direction the game was going
despite a valiant display of immaculate fast bowling from AJ (3-14) The
Johnson XI made 99-9 to take the match. The losing captain presented Mr
Johnson with the Solid Glass Stolen Pub Ash Tray, a trophy worthy of the
gravitas of the day.

retired to The Ship having changed into evening (70's) attire, the evening ended
appropriately in the always cheesy Wessex House.
